jojoe71 12/14/2012 6:02:02 PM Report

I wonder if the people on her christmas gift list are getting expensive presents this year? you can bet she'll get leniency because of a gambling addiction. It seems to be an ongoing defence ploy......" Ya honour...the devil made her do it"..... mark my words.

molder2 12/14/2012 7:03:37 PM Report

They are all working for the PUC...Hellooooo!
bluejays10 12/14/2012 7:16:10 PM Report

Rachel01 12/14/2012 8:28:07 PM Report

This is all so sad the bashing at this time of the year. I personally was shocked myself when I seen this and I thought there goes our dollars at work? This woman should be sentenced to a life of the average welfare recipient and try to survive...and for all u haters of recipients I am not one.
Silverstein 12/14/2012 8:38:16 PM Report

No wonder the school can't afford profs to give kids an education on par with the rest of the province. Don't they have budgets that are overlooked by anyone? If I leave $50 out of my budget they would demand answers. Almost $400, 000, hmmm somethings off but who cares were algoma haha
KMF61MCF 12/14/2012 8:50:47 PM Report

Wow i heard rumour it was a Male Manager. Who was caught defrauding the University. Threw kickbacks he got from awarding Contracts to his friends hmm gotta love the Sault Rumour mill. Or maybe there is more to the story yet to come out And still to be investigated?????
KMF61MCF 12/14/2012 9:20:26 PM Report

PUC is increasing rates 10% so they will be able to donate more than 100,00.00 to make up the short fall.
KMF61MCF 12/14/2012 9:22:52 PM Report

Bluejays10 lmao i have to agree with you there a joke lol
Jazz10 12/14/2012 10:28:11 PM Report

Bluejay: so true...counting down the days until I am out of there. These people wouldn't survive out of algomau. They can't help you for their life, but believe me, they all seem to know how to take students money....let's raise tuition and student fees to pay for this ladies fraudulent behaviour. Mark my words, students will see an increase in September.
Studlee 12/15/2012 11:36:50 AM Report

Bluejays10 is an idiot. One person commits fraud because she's screwed up in the head and you think the whole university is run by idiots? For shame! By your idiotic comment i'd say you don't even have your high school diploma, but everyone running a UNIVERSITY is an idiot?
Studlee 12/15/2012 11:38:36 AM Report

And everyone that agrees with the idiot is a loser...LOL
Dead End Kid 12/15/2012 12:35:29 PM Report

She will cry crocodile tears during her trial and the judge will show leniency toward her. She is a calculating thief that should do a bit of jail time just like any other adult who breaks the law.
niddy 12/16/2012 2:51:45 AM Report

AS A TAXPAYER, WE ALL HAVE OBLIGATIONS TO PAY FOR ROADS, HIGHWAYS, EDUCATION, ETC. WE ALSO HAVE THE PUBLIC RIGHT TO KNOW THAT OUR TAX DOLLARS ARE BEING SPENT FAIRLY, AND IN A MOST HONOURABLE WAY. THIS STORY LITERALLY MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH. HOW CAN $400,000.00 GO UNACCOUNTED FOR. IT LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS MORE TO THIS STORY THAN MEETS THE EYE. IS THERE OTHER MONIES MISSING ????? STUDENTS ARE PAYING UP TO $15,000 PER YEAR TO EDUCATE THEMSELSVES. SOME OF THEM ARE LUCKY AND HAVE PARENTS TO GIVE THEM A HAND. OTHERS RELY ON OSAP, PRIVATE FUNDS, AND PERSONAL LOANS. I DON'T IMAGINE THEY ARE TOO IMPRESSED WITH THIS FINDING. ARE WE GOING TO RAISE THEIR TUITIONS NOW ??? UNBELIEVABLE
Norm 12/16/2012 3:15:23 PM Report

Schools accountability is in question here. Pretty obvious many probably paid by cash. Cheques or money orders should be the only form of payment. If someone was overtaken by temptation, at least making it more difficult to take money would be some form of deterrent.
andrews 12/16/2012 6:42:53 PM Report

Am I the only person who laughed after reading the anti-Algoma messages here? I just thought it was funny that the people calling Algoma U a joke school couldn't actually finish a single sentence without horrible grammar errors.
Norm 12/17/2012 3:02:36 PM Report

Let's all head er back to school. Good luck to the Jacobs woman.
madmaymax 4/15/2014 1:21:26 AM Report

DOES ANYONE KNOW HER SENTENCE DATE YET???
