Occasional teachers agreement ratified

SAULT STE. MARIE - A new collective agreement between the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB) and the local unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) representing Occasional Teachers has been ratified.

“We are pleased that this agreement is in place. Both sides worked hard to achieve the agreement. We appreciate the efforts of both negotiating teams,” said HSCDSB Director of Education John Stadnyk.

“Our Occasional Teachers listened to our negotiating teams’ recommendations and made their decision accordingly,” said OECTA Local President Marcie Tombari.

OECTA members ratified the agreement Thursday evening.

The Board of Trustees of the HSCDSB voted for ratification at its meeting on Wednesday.

Enjoy that " me too" clause! The one where you get whatever ETFO members get, even though they are doing all the work and dealing with all the stress and taking all the heat!!
