Algoma Conservatory of Music presents An Evening in Venice - the Mayor's Gala for the Arts at Algoma's Water Tower Inn Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. The Gala will be featuring Interpreti Veneziani, a string orchestra from Venice, Italy. Tickets are $125 per person, supporting Algoma Conservatory Concerts and the Sault Ste. Marie Cultural Endowment Trust Fund. Call Algoma Conservatory for tickets at 705-253-4373.

The Jeff Holmes Band performs at the Water Tower Pub, 360 Great Northern Rd., from 7 to 10 p.m.

Soo Greyhounds vs Erie at the Essar Centre. Game time is 7:07 p.m.

Meet Terry Grant, TV's Original Mantracker, at the SpeakEasy, Algoma University, at 8 p.m. during a book launch for the newly published Mantracking: The Ultimate Guide to Tracking Man or Beast. Donations will be collected at the door by Sault Search and Rescue, and door proceeds will be donated to the United Way and designated to Sault Search and Rescue.

Musical Comedy Guild presents its fall production of 42nd Street, directed by Elizabeth Kinghorn and Mik Patton, at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for students. For further information call Terri Miller (President) at 705-248-2850.

Join Loplops as it celebrates its 9th anniversary with live music by the Hustle Brothers. Many prizes up for grabs. The party kicks off at 9 p.m.

Pauline Pennett hosts Christmas Crafts for Kids Upstairs at Rome's from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Children ages 5 to 10 are welcome to join Pauline and Donna to make yummy Christmas cupcakes and Santa belly pops, a candy cane mouse, and a Santa ornament. Please register at the Customer Service Desk for $14.

The Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie and District presents the second show in the Over the Rainbow Children's Entertainment Series: Matt Baker Comedy and Stunt Show. Lake Superior State University presents its holiday concert, A Laker Christmas, in the University's Arts Centre auditorium, 621 West Easterday Avenue (Sault Michigan), at 7 p.m. The show will feature the LSSU chorus and community choir and the Soo Theatre orchestras.
