From now until Christmas, we will be showcasing the work of local artists and craftspeople with this new weekly feature.

This week's feature highlight's the work of Zenith Lillie-Eakett and Washboard Bill's Wonder Emporium.

Zenith Lillie-Eakett is the creator and curator of Washboard Bill's Wonder Emporium, a haven of hats, sanctuary of scarves, and temple of other treasures.

Working with a variety of materials, including cotton, wool, alpaca, acrylic, angora, mohair, llama, cashmere, merino, and silk, Zenith's handcrafted, one of a kind creations are just the thing to keep you or a loved one toasty warm this winter.

On Saturday, November 17, Washboard Bill's Wonder Emporium will be part of the Tarentorus Home and School Christmas Craft and Bake Sale at 96 Northwood St. from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

About Washboard Bill's Wonder Emporium

Washboard Bill's Wonder Emporium is dedicated to making quality, design-conscious, original items. Mostly hats.

Each item is handcrafted by Washboard Bill with care, creativity, and an interest in making sure you can wear, wash, play, and enjoy each hat for years to come.

Bill has been quoted as saying: "My hats were made to last. You'll be leaving them to your grand-kids in your will, along with all your other precious and most beloved items."

There are no patterns for any of Bill's hats.

They are all made from scratch. Original designs.

This means you won't find another hat like Washboard Bill's anywhere.

Which means you are really buying, owning and wearing a couture item - without the couture price.

This alone makes you hip.

No robots are used or abused in the making of our designer items.

All items are made by a REALLY nice person, who has mad skills.

And you appreciate that.
