NEWS RELEASE

THE MUNICIPALITY OF WAWA

****************************
The Municipality of Wawa Community Control Group continues to manage the recovery of the flooding conditions in Wawa and the hosting of members of the Michipicoten First Nation due to torrential rains on October 25, 2012.

The closure of Highway 17 both north and south of Wawa along with the damage within the community has had an effect on all commercial and industrial enterprises.

Assistance is available to those organizations that have experienced disruptions through Service Canada.

The regularly scheduled Service Canada outreach will be held at Service Ontario, 48 Mission Rd (Provincial Government Building) on November 21, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.

An extended outreach will occur at the Regional Employment Help Centre, 65B Broadway Ave from 1 until 4 p.m. also on November 21, 2012.

If you require assistance from Service Canada prior to those dates, please contact Natalie Dagg at 1-705-941-4542 or via email at nathalie.dagg@servciecanada.gc.ca.
