Superstorm Sandy's impacts reach northern communities

Environment Canada is maintaining the following freezing rain warning for Gogama - Foleyet:

Periods of freezing rain mixed with snow.
The remnants of post tropical Sandy is causing a swath of winter-like weather in Northern Ontario.
Areas of freezing rain are occurring in a band through Gogama, Timmins and Cochrane.
It will continue today and well into tonight.
The band will gradually move westwards later tonight, and warnings may be extended farther west as required.
Motorists are advised to use caution due to slippery roads today and tonight across the warned regions.

Yes there was a hurricane yes it was bad, no its not affecting us as much as they thought. Sucks for the eastern seaboard. The weather may be part of the "cell" however the weather here is normal for this time of year. Hurricanes dissapate quickly when over land.
