NEWS RELEASE

CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES

************************
Donate blood and potentially save lives

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – Canadian Blood Services is asking Sault Ste. Marie and area residents to consider donating blood  to help maintain a strong inventory of blood and blood products for hospital patients.

The need for blood in Canada is constant and the fact remains that hospital patients everywhere need blood in all seasons.

Hospitals continue to draw on the supply of blood as Canadian patients require treatment regardless of the weather, as they undergo treatment for cancer, surgery, for car accidents and other traumas, and for hundreds of other medical situations that require life-saving blood.

Our next clinic takes place on Tuesday, November 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, November 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Verdi Hall, 455 Queen Street.

Please visit us online or call 1 888 2 DONATE (1 888 236 6283) to book an appointment to donate today.

We need communities to rally together because it takes many donors to help save a life.

If you already have an appointment, thank you, and we urge you to honour it.
