Local author Jamie Zeppa is teaching two workshops, Art of the Sentence and The Effect of Narrative Voice on your Stories, from 10 a.m. until 120 p.m., and 2 until 4 p.m. in the basement of Zion United Church, Thessalon. The Canadian Diabetes Association and Mio's Furniture Fashions present A Passion for Design and Diabetes, featuring guest speaker Kimberley Seldon. This event is taking place at Comfort Suites and Conference Centre, 229 Great Northern Road, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be a gourmet lunch, a fabulous door prize and free draws. Visit the Marketplace where local design and decor experts will showcase their products and services to give you advice on how to make your home spectacular.
