Drug investigation results in arrests
SPANISH - On October 25, 2012, members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Sudbury Drug Enforcement Unit in partnership with the Espanola Police Service and the Manitoulin Island Detachment of the OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the Town of Spanish.
As a result of this investigation, police seized; two marijuana plants, 4228.5 grams of marijuana, 1038 grams of marijuana “shake”, and 0.5 grams of cannabis resin.
Police also seized six firearms and various drug paraphernalia.
Two people were arrested during the course of this investigation and have been charged with various drug related offences.
Both Isaac Odenback and Bonnie Odenback were released from custody and will appear in court on December 6, 2012.
The street value of the drugs seized is $64,757.
Charged are:
Isaac Odenback, age 51 of Spanish, Ontario
- Production of a controlled substance (2 counts)
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Breach of firearms regulations
Bonnie Odenback, age 48 of Spanish, Ontario
- Production of a controlled substance (2 counts)
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Breach of firearms regulations
