BlackHelix 10/25/2012 11:39:19 AM ReportWow, looks like a family affair. Classy
uh? 10/25/2012 11:42:36 AM ReportLooks like they brought in their kids to deal some drugs. Awesome parents!! Those kids have zero hope! Those parents should be locked up for ten years minimum.
JediMindTrick 10/25/2012 11:49:31 AM ReportOnce again, misjudging the value.
At MOST your looking at a value just under $2000
Prrrrrrr 10/25/2012 12:52:17 PM ReportWHO CARES ABOUT THE VALUE? This is ORGANIZED CRIME....GET THAT??? What happens there happens here ...this city get's robbed, the kids go buy drugs from where ever with the goods they stole here!!! You cannot be that STUPID!
Tom_Bom 10/25/2012 1:13:28 PM ReportOh goodness, save us from those horrible Marihuana Cigarettes! Can you imagine what would happen if it got out? People might get high off of a perfectly benign substance that causes no harm to anyone! THE HORROR!!!!
Prrrrrrr 10/25/2012 1:17:50 PM ReportFYI...could be the kids are bad asses or I hate to think...
http://ca.ratemyteachers.com/anthony-parri/1510024-t
There is a Grade 4 teacher employed with the Windsor separate school board charged with posession of cocaine last week, he's off with pay...
Addiction is an illness they tell me!
steelworker 10/25/2012 2:49:20 PM Report...nice to see the parents teaching their kids Business Management 101.
Zarm27 10/25/2012 2:56:00 PM ReportYeah, it's half a pound, should be estimated around $1800 street value, it's funny how close they got with their scale, I imagine they bought it off someone else and were just going to resell to people around Espanola.
Moonshiner 10/25/2012 3:11:09 PM ReportDid you see how many Jurisdictions were involved?WoW,I am glad they got that much off the street, sounds like a major northern distribution ring!
dob131 10/25/2012 3:11:59 PM ReportStupid ... Maybye they should stop worrying about Pot and focus more on cocaine, or are the cops too araid of the people involed in it????
Prrrrrrr 10/25/2012 4:37:46 PM ReportOne leads to the other...and it all comes under the same title "ILLEGAL" Would yeah knock off the it's OK cause it's pot!
The dealers are adding cocaine/crack anything they can to "POT" to get these kids where they want them...ADDICTED!
joshua_r_b 10/25/2012 6:18:52 PM ReportThe biggest reason someone buys coke or other hard drugs is because the black market dealers are trying to "up sell" or "cross sell". If pot was available at say a store, less if the hard drugs would be used. I would rather my kids smoke 20$ of pot then drink 20$ of booze. Just putting that out there. And yes the true street value of any publicized drug bust, pot or anything else is massively over estimated!
Tom_Bom 10/25/2012 6:39:54 PM ReportAnyone who thinks this is a large operation is grossly mislead. As hard as they try, police never eradicate all of the pot that's out there. They probably find less than a third, so run back into your panic rooms folks. Also often the people who take the fall are just trying to make ends meat. I don't agree with kids selling it of course, common sense would dictate to anyone that that's wrong.
Also the gateway theory of pot leading to other drugs has been disproven countless times. The only reason it actually would is because the dealer trys to upsell, as Joshua put it. If pot were legal and sold at the LCBO, there would be an age limit on it, so it would be out of the hands of our kids.
Everyone knows its easier for a teen to get pot than it is alcohol. Why? Because it's illegal, and the people who sell it are all around you in school and in social circles, pushing it on you because they're salesmen. So they push it on the kids to make a profit. Wouldn't happen if it was legalized.
The only solution to the Pot "problem" is complete legalization and taxation. Canadas debt is growing right now... we could legalize it, make sure it's cultivated safely for adults through licensed companys, keep it out of the hands of kids, and erradicate the national debt through the taxation of this harmless benign plant. Heck, the owner of Virgin said that if it were legalized he'd be the first one to throw his hat in on his own brand of Pot.
I haven't partaken since highschool, but I know how these things go and have researched the subject heavily as I dislike the concept of people going to jail for harmless dried flowers that could easily be legalized and taxed.
I don't promote the use of drugs... I promote the use of sanity and rational thinking when it comes to our current drug policy in Canada.
There is a group call Law Enforcement Against Prohibition. You should look them up. It is a group of law enforcement officials who are mostly retired, who have been in the trenches and know the truth about this. Talk to one of them. They're the only activist group I trust because they're actual officers of the law who are standing against prohibition.
God bless, have a great day.
Jay72 10/25/2012 10:39:16 PM ReportDid I read that right... Anthony Paari is a school teacher in Espanola???
