It shouldn't be that hard to catch the stupid punk when they try and pawn the stuff.

Stealing Afghanistan money Seriously? It is worth jack sh@# ! Do they even still have money after the US bombed them back into the dark ages?!

Vandalism during a robbery shows that it was done by amateurs with little or no respect. A professional would have entered the house and stole valuables that wouldn't be readily missed until much later.

When they catch the thief it would be refreshing to see them get a year or two in jail instead of light repremands. There seems to be quitre the brash of B&E's

What?! Another break in? No way. I can't believe this. Not in our beautiful, safe little city.

NOT.

Harper promised to get tough on crime, not tough enough, obviously. The socialist parties believe all thugs, petty thieves, can be helped with the right professionals, hmmm.
Moonshiner 10/25/2012 9:59:28 AM Report

It seems to be out of control.
Dictionary 10/25/2012 10:13:18 AM Report

the police are too busy going after prostitutes and potheads to do anything about real crime.
231Turbo6 10/25/2012 10:36:02 AM Report

heaven forbid some of these criminals start catching bullets at the hands of these homeowners,
mallet 10/25/2012 10:36:22 AM Report

Dictionary..

Much easier targets than actually having to use some brainpower to solve this sort of crime. There is also the other factor that does not seem to have as much attention, when caught the thieves are out on bail before the ink is dry on the charge sheets and then some defence lawyer, will blame alchohol and/or drugs and will want all sorts of exams done and its 6 months or a year before the villian is actually in front of the court. By this time memories start to become blurred and the person is bound over to be of good behavior and refrain from using etc etc. What a comedy the justice system has become, and the only people who want to change it are ridiculed at every chance...

@ 231Turbo6
Not too worried about guns though, this is still Canada after all and guns aren't that easy to come by (hand guns, concealed weapons, etc). Now if we were in the usa, I'd certainly be worried about that!

They broke in thru a FRONT window. Wow, that's bold.

Some of the theories posted on here are ridiculous. I fail to see how Harper is to blame for the out of control break and enter problem in Sault Ste. Marie. Maybe if the cops took these crimes a little more seriously instead of showing up, writing a report and telling the homeowners there's not much they can do, we would be able to catch these theives.

Let's get a grant, what a novel idea,ya, lets do a study on why there are so many break ins.

If the Police, Crown & Judges would work together to clean up our community rather than against each other. The Police make arrests. The Crown decides if the culprits should get their nose wiped, given a break, turned lose, or consider probation or a slap on the wrist for the numerous time because they 'might' see the light & reform themselves. LMAO . The Judges are advised by the Crown that these wayward children (12 to 20)have been through a rough life, do not know right from wrong, are drug & alcohol addicted & can be reformed by all the tear jerkers and see the light. Hello! What a laugh. This is the problems with the Judicial System - a screwed up system - Police - Crown - Judges. One cuts the others throat & creates a domino effect. When someone takes a life then everyone will scream & blame the other. 'It was no ones fault - it just happened'. It just doesn't happen - it is created by neglect by parents, Police with their hands tied, Crowns trying to save the soles of our wayward kids & tear jerking Judges that seem to agree & give them a slap on the wrist & tell them to be good or else - which means nothing. They just dump them back on the street to get into trouble again, again & again. No wonder this generation is so out of hand. Poor Canada. - Just my opinion -

It is terrible what has happened. Kids' now-a-days really are a menace to society. In my day, my Parents didn't let me away with anything, OLD SCHOOL worked for me and a lot of friends.
