Offender wanted on Canada-wide parole warrant arrested

NEWS RELEASE

At approximately 9 p.m. police received information regarding a theft from a residence on Ferguson St.
The male was subsequently identified as Jason Brideau, age 36 years of no fixed address.
He was located at the Manitou Motel and found to be a statutory release federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide parole warrant.
He was subsequently arrested and has been held in custody.

Jason Brideau told a Sudbury judge his drug addiction causes him to do things he doesn't remember...
Brideau broke into Alternative Energy Systems Inc...owner reported tools, electronic equipment, a guitar and cash worth $7,650had been stolen....
a man and a woman reported a break-in
found the door kicked in. Electronics had been stolen from the home. They told police they should be looking for Brideau
He and his mother are rekindling their relationship after he broke into her apartment in 2005
Brideau was sentenced to two years in jail and was ordered to provide a sample to the national DNA database.
Brideau pleaded guilty to similar offences in March and September of 2009.
He also served a three-year prison term for a series of earlier break-ins...
The 34-year-old said he is hoping to receive some help with his addiction so he can "move on with my life and get away from Sudbury."
Oh goody he left Sudbury and came to the Soo. Lucky us.
