eds 10/22/2012 8:51:37 AM Reportisn't comnee also closed at some point? I hope they take out the most western set of traffic lights at wellington and wellington as they cause more jams than does construction. As a matter of fact there shouldn't be any traffic lights from carmens way to Goulais!!
Sam C 10/22/2012 9:08:46 AM Reporteds... have you ever considered that traffic lights are meant to allow drivers on the cross streets an opportunity to merge with or get across traffic on the main street?
Or maybe we should just remove all the traffic lights, stop signs and speed limits and just let everyone fend for themselves.
opinionated 10/22/2012 9:35:37 AM ReportEds, that's the busiest truck route in the city aside from hwy 17, no way you could take out any lights.
frnlak 10/22/2012 10:59:38 AM ReportIt is understandable why some street lights are required. ie: when the power goes off and the lights don't work. Mass confusion. People forget the basic driving requirements. When the lights go out, all intersections revert to a three way or four way stop. By the way the intersection at Pine and Macdonald is a 4 way stop, Lake and Macdonald is not. FYI.
avid 10/22/2012 12:19:16 PM Reportfrnlak your a hero... they need to make Lake and MacDonald either needs lights or a four way stop or they need to do some construction on the hill to make the incline more gradual
