sweetc 10/18/2012 6:58:36 PM Reportwtf.... is that the only thing they can find for news? what about the Incompetence of the officers who allowed a criminal to escape custody? what about the unsolved murder here in Sault Ste Marie? What about the hit and run causing death that happened a few years ago. No they have to pick up someone drunk from downtown and charge him with being intoxicated in a public place.... OOOOOH big bad criminal off the streets... Way to go... Keystone cops come to mind.
Working Man 10/18/2012 8:23:08 PM ReportYeah, I agree. This situation does not deserve a public discourse from Sootoday.
It could just be a homeless person. What is the point of publicly disclosing this information.
Sootoday tries to be entertaining with their method of disclosing news information.
That is why they delete comments regarding their news article postings that aren't congruent with their personal thoughts or opinions regarding the situation. They do this all the time!
laurie roach 10/18/2012 8:50:44 PM Reportyep they put my son on here and his name for ridding a four wheeler and no charges laid..Just a big fine ..And he is under age...But some drunk gets picked up and nothing...
Norm 10/18/2012 9:54:08 PM ReportThat's sad for the drinker, he obviously needs a lot of help. Hopefully he seeks it. I agree, it's a pretty lame bit of journalism. It's probably an issue that the cops shouldn't release to the media. Perhaps the media could have a bit more class, really!
karebear 10/18/2012 11:46:09 PM ReportPeople READ BEFORE YOU RUN YOUR LIPS OFF
POLICE NEWS RELEASE...
they merely print what is sent to them by the city police
JustMe1234567 10/18/2012 11:47:51 PM ReportThat's kind of the point isn't it??
This is the information that the cops are choosing to release to the media, who then relay it to us. I guess that was all that happened on their shift today.
har har.
Prrrrrrr 10/18/2012 11:50:00 PM ReportSad...
Rachel01 10/19/2012 12:39:28 AM ReportCould not have said it better myself sweetc and to justme...ty for the chuckle :-)
zardoz 10/19/2012 6:20:11 AM ReportThe police are so negative...his bottle of Sherry was "3/4 empty", a positive person would have said his bottle was 1/4 full.
smrtserve 10/19/2012 6:25:38 AM ReportRight on zardoz ur comment was the
most positive one on here that I've come across lmao
purplepussycat 10/19/2012 8:41:08 AM Report"They" all started out so innocent and can and do thrive with a simple thing called love and nurturing - I'd be willing to bet my life this gentleman was not the recipient of these fundemental needs. Perhaps early intervention in this person's life could have made difference. I feel sad for the state of this world. Greed, corruption and no viable solutions to make our consumer driven world a safe and welcoming place. I for one would pay more taxes if early intervention (not parenting classes) but real in the home intervention for these kids who grow up into lost souls....so sad:(
uh? 10/19/2012 9:48:59 AM ReportYou know he's a drunk when he's drinking sherry!! And it's probably cooking sherry at that! No wonder he doesn't have a clue on what's going on.
moem 10/19/2012 12:53:24 PM ReportMy sentiments exactly purplepussycat, people are so quick to judge rather than taking a moment to think about where things go wrong with people and to be thankful that they aren't in the other person's shoes! When will everyone realize that the cost of preventative programs is far cheaper than the cost of not trying to intervene?? Everyone started out as an innocent little baby, a clean slate to be molded and shaped into an adult, even simple things like teachers not providing extra curricular activities or writing bare minimum report cards can have consequences on the development of children, we should all have empathy for the people we read about on here instead of making fun of their names, their addictions or their mental health. To quote Ghandi be the change you want to see in this world... To those that hate and judge, is that the kind of world you want to see???
geterdun 10/19/2012 9:39:32 PM ReportI can tell you why his name wasnt released.... he was what the goverments consider a minority.........:)
