hopergurl 10/18/2012 10:37:19 AM ReportLooks good on them !! Lol
SuzyyQ 10/18/2012 10:39:40 AM ReportI wonder if this guy was handcuffed?
Working Man 10/18/2012 10:44:57 AM ReportYeah you're 'real' tough.
Police officers need to learn how to run! He probably had a donut in his hand.
Wheels17 10/18/2012 10:49:15 AM ReportHow does someone escape police custody? Man, if they are going into court, aren't they supposed to be handcuffed or am I wrong in my thinking?
Kera 10/18/2012 11:07:05 AM ReportThat's so pathetic. The police force in the town are a COMPLETE JOKE! They're all incompetent fools who don't know how to do their job properly, or just don't care... which brings me full circle to my pathetic statement! Disgraceful.
Brianne 10/18/2012 11:30:28 AM ReportAll in all, he can't hide forever !
saultbie25 10/18/2012 11:47:54 AM ReportI think this guy thinks if he can get away with crime in his own country he can try to do it in ours...
My question is, How can he have escaped, was there handcuffs, shackles.... Dirty cops..... All definite possibilities. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service should be very disapointed in themselves, they let down the innocent citizens of Sault Ste Marie, and now may have let a dangerous person loose.
SuzyyQ 10/18/2012 12:11:27 PM Reportto sootoday moderator: any updates on this fugitive? I need to know if it is safe to go out today.
I'm just sayin' 10/18/2012 12:16:12 PM ReportHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! GOOD ON EM'.
moem 10/18/2012 12:36:05 PM Report obviously protocol wasn't followed, they are supposed to drive into the locked area, in TO where police are paid less they have much better systems to transport and they shackle pretty much everyone, also court house security isn't what it should be, we have a lot of crime here and addiction etc we should have a single court house entrance with security officers and metal detectors, better to do this now than to wait for something tragic to happen
KMF61MCF 10/18/2012 12:43:10 PM ReportSo the Saults finest cant hold on to this guy and cry to the public to help find him. Incompetent Fools. Then cops should be suspended a days pay for not following Protocol
SuzyyQ 10/18/2012 12:46:00 PM Reportiluvslots, I ask the same question because I was first to post a comment and it was removed, and all I wrote was if the suspect was in handcuffs or not.
N1T5 101 10/18/2012 2:18:39 PM ReportEveryone wears shackles and handcuffs!!! This excellent!! Hahahaha looks good on these so called "police" LOL hahahahahaha
sweetc 10/18/2012 2:50:07 PM ReportIt just goes to show you how the police in our fine city work..(cough... cough)...
jean-marie 10/18/2012 2:58:01 PM ReportReally?? How did he escapes and why wasn't this News Release released sooner? Residences have the right to know as soon as it happens and to be extra cautious. I would love to know what the Chief of Police actually has to say about this incident. Where is the accountability?
jean-marie 10/18/2012 3:02:41 PM ReportAlso, we can't go blaming ALL the police in this city because some officers aren't up to par.
We have to keep in mind the ones that don't cut corners and do their job to the full extent and actually do keep our community safe.
thesharr 10/18/2012 3:08:09 PM ReportI think he's asking for a grant to do a study on why criminals escape police custody at the courthouse!
cooker_eh 10/18/2012 4:39:10 PM ReportChirp all you want, just don't call one when you need one. Ya whoever made the mistake should and probably will be reprimanded in some way but these people risk their lives often and some have been killed protecting YOU! Show some respect.
Barf breath 10/18/2012 4:47:31 PM ReportThis guy's a real Houdini I tell ya.
Stugatzu 10/18/2012 5:20:46 PM Reportsaultbie25 -- Do we really need an ignorant racist remark? He's described as being of Middle Eastern descent... it doesn't say he a citizen of a middle eastern country. Just proves how shallow, ignorant and prejudice a person you are.
SuzyyQ 10/18/2012 5:32:36 PM ReportHas this guy been caught or what????? There has been no update yet and it is now over 8 years since this suspect fled police custody.
KMF61MCF 10/18/2012 6:18:03 PM ReportOh he was spotted at the University Yesterday
KMF61MCF 10/18/2012 6:32:41 PM ReportAmen to that N1T5 and yet Officer Freemans name asscoiated with another impaired driver Situation hmmmm
I'm just sayin' 10/18/2012 6:41:57 PM ReportAGAIN... Not the first time someone has escaped police custody at the sault court house. And yes they are cuffed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Good on em! Maybe the police will step it up?
I'm just sayin' 10/18/2012 6:46:39 PM Reportmoem
Agreed. the "security" at a court house is the police. Just sayin'!
N1T5 101 10/18/2012 6:49:19 PM ReportThey deleated my comment lol but yeah the sault police protect their own thats why they brought in RCMP so they can't mess aroun anymore on serious crimes people need to wake up an shake thier heads
Stugatzu 10/18/2012 7:35:06 PM ReportDelete my comment, but allow racist comments to stand. Way to go SooToday! Such a professional approach to news - NOT
the coach 10/18/2012 8:06:51 PM ReportThis guy is probably on a plane going to wherever he came from.
Aliko 10/18/2012 10:26:07 PM ReportHis name and last name is not middle eastern name.
firefly42 10/19/2012 12:39:44 AM Reportsaultbie25: You can't just assume that this person was not born in Canada because the article says he is described as Middle Eastern. He could be just as much a Canadian as you and I. Think before you post ignorant comments!
smrtserve 10/19/2012 6:32:03 AM ReportI'm with u kera ....... and on this date .....blah blah blah happened
SuzyyQ 10/19/2012 7:14:43 AM Report***8 hours, (I wrote 8 years by mistake), but today it will be 24 hours since this man's escape.
saultbie25 10/19/2012 8:32:06 AM ReportWhat I said was a fact and my personal opinion..... If the guy was white and sweedish I would say the same thing....
If this guy is an immigrant, would be be banned from Canada, NO absolutely not, which is wrong!
Canada should protect Canadian rights, not rights of landed immigrants and immigrants..... I was born canadian, some family members were not, Canada would be a better place if they left our jobs to us, and not send them to other countries, or hiring imigrants and taking away our right to have steady employment.....
outcrop 10/19/2012 8:49:23 AM ReportSaultbie25, Give your head a shake and let some of those marbles out.
GuitarHero99 10/19/2012 12:35:44 PM Reporti say it again: WAY TO GO POLICE!!! LOOKS GOOD ON YOU!!!!
