ROTARY CLUB OF
SAULT STE. MARIE

You better watch out...
SAULT STE. MARIE - You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town!
Although many Saultites only have visions of pumpkins and ghouls dancing in their heads, the Rotary Santa Claus Parade is just around the corner.
This annual treat has been enjoyed for decades, and commences the decking of halls and snowy, silent nights that welcome the holiday season.
This year, Santa is dropping by the Soo on November 17 before things get too busy in his workshop.
Come down to Queen street at 6 p.m. to see everything Christmas - from reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh, to carollers and candy canes galore.
As with the summer parade, the start will be at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre on Bay where it will proceed north on Pim and then west on Queen St.
With the financial support of the Cultural Advisory Board, the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie will be expanding their lighted suit brigade that marches in front of the Santa float.
Children from local schools will dress as snowmen, Christmas trees and snowflakes which are lighted by electroluminescent wire.
The financial support also provides honorariums for local choirs to entertain the cueing crowds prior to the start of the parade.
If your choir would be interested, please contact the Rotary office.
And the Great Sault Ste. Marie Wazoo Band is returning again and looking for additional adventurous volunteers!
Potential wazoodlers need to be able to hold a tune and walk the entire parade route.
Wazoos will be provided.
If interested, please contact the Rotary office.
Naughty or nice, everyone in the Sault is welcome to come down to this magical event or submit an entry.
Entry forms for the Rotary Santa Claus Parade are now available at www.rotarysault.com.
