The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) yesterday announced that ARTIE the robot is back for his annual appearance to area elementary school students for SSMIC’s ARTIE (Advanced Research and Technology Innovation Expo) on October 19 during National Science and Technology Week.
This year’s popular event will bring together over 600 elementary school students at the George Leach Centre (GLC) on the Algoma University campus.
Students will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities from local exhibitors in areas including computer game technology, worm composting, wildlife adventure, the technology of dairy farming, multimedia laser shows, forest fires from the Bushplane Museum, and water science.
