Resident finds unwelcome visitor at 2 a.m.

Shortly after 2:00 this morning, a resident awoke to the sound of someone breaking into her home in the 100 block of Dennis St.
When the homeowner confronted the intruder, he punched her repeatedly in the head and fled.
The male is described as 19-20 yrs, wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and a ball cap.
He also had a black packsack and was carrying a grocery bag.
He was last seen running east bound on Wellington Street.
The victim did not receive any injuries as a result of the assault.

Had the opportunity to sit in court, our laws are way too lenient, unfortunately its the criminals who have all the rights not the victim. What's up with that?
