David charged with impaired. And more

OPP NEWS RELEASE

On October 13, 2012, at 12:03 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment were advised of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 129 in Reaney Township. 

A 2001 red Dodge Caravan had left the roadway and rolled onto the passenger side in the northbound ditch. 

The OPP officers detected an odour of alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver. 

The 40-year-old male had suffered minor injuries and was transported by Chapleau Ambulance to Chapleau Hospital. 

As a result of OPP investigation, 40-year-old David Pinder of Chapleau was arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Impaired Driving - Criminal Code of Canada

• Exceed 80 milligrams of Blood/Alcohol Content - Criminal Code of Canada

• Fail to Properly Wear Seat Belt - Highway Traffic Act

• Drive Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Container of Liquor - Liquor License Act

The accused was later released and is scheduled to appear in Chapleau Court on December 5, 2012.
