Snow knocks out power around Sault Airport

This is a description of an unplanned power interruption that recently affected PUC Distribution customers in Sault Ste. Marie.

Power has been restored to all customers.

If you are still without power please call the PUC Emergency number at 759-6555.

Interruption date: October 11, 2012 at 10:56 a.m.
Customers affected: 918

Number of customers restored:
363 restored at: 11:21 a.m.
555 restored at: 12:15 p.m.

Cause of interruption: Tree contacts - Snow ladden tree branches on high voltage lines

Description of area involved

Third Line east of Goulais; Avery subdivision, Allen's Side Rd north of Second Line West, Second Line west of Allen's Side Rd to Gros Cap, Airport Rd to and including Airport, Base Line, Gagnon, Walls and Sunnyside Beach
