Local recycling hauler gets some cash
Tuesday, October 09, 2012 by: SooToday.com Staff
Extreme Recycling, a Sault Ste. Marie small business specializing in waste pick-up and disposal, is receiving $48,750 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).
The service picks-up, sorts and disposes materials such as scrap metals, old vehicles and tires.
NOHFC money will also help the operation purchase some new hauling and sorting equipment.
“Funding from the NOHFC will assist me in expanding my business operations and fill a demand in the community for a front door pick-up and recycling service for private homeowners, as well as local businesses,” said Charlene Pegeau, owner and operator of Extreme Recycling in a news release from Sault MPP David Orazietti's office.

opinionated 10/9/2012 7:20:52 PM ReportIt takes a lot of work to get a government grant for your business, especially when you can't afford to hire someone to do it all for you.
Congratulations and hopefully it allows your business to continue to grow.
