geterdun 10/7/2012 1:36:28 PM ReportIts to late!!!!!!!!! the goverment has made up its mind!!!!!!!coming to a provincial park near you.......A nice big, loud, bird killing machine.....If you can get past the ungodly views of trees and mountains you will be soon enjoying the beauty of a huge ....................................................TURBINE????????????????????????NICE......... thanks Dalton for ruining our land as well as our jobs and lives......
W. Yote 10/7/2012 5:34:01 PM ReportThis doesn't affect anyone living in the GTA (except for higher energy prices) so no matter how loud the people in Northern Ontario scream this will go through. Nonetheless people, if you don't put your 2 cents in, you can't complain after the fact so, let em know what you think.
Next election get a riding association going for a Northern Ontario party. The only way the North will have a voice is with members of parliament that answer only to the people of Northern Ontario.
Snowdon 10/7/2012 8:19:07 PM ReportI personally don't find them ugly to look at, nor have I seen any conclusive proof that they are 'bird killing machines'. Diversifying our energy production is a good idea for the future.
I bet people in the Algoma region are getting a lot angrier over the potential of looking at a wind turbine or that they think it may hurt animals, than they are over the global consequences of man-made climate change.
But it doesn't matter until you're personally affected, right?
sweetc 10/7/2012 9:40:22 PM ReportIf you think the wind turbines are bad in the provincial just wait until the Coutu Bros. have their way and get a gold mine going right in the heart of Lake Superior Provincial Park.

danger 10/8/2012 9:41:43 AM ReportI am totally disgusted at the prospect of loosing any more in this province. I say no to the wind farms. I say yes to keeping the parks open to the public. And I say wake up southern ontario, take a drive north yes north, past Barrie ontario, past Sudbury ontario, and visit what is in your backyard of this great province the wonderful Algoma district with all of its splendor and beauty. I suggest that you do it soon, for It will be gone before to long.

mr.monty 10/8/2012 2:57:58 PM Reportdalton has no problem with turbines or fields of solar panels. he offers big money for their power! but none of them are putting out much power because it is too expensive to sell. so the utility companies buy the cheaper power from hydro dams and nuclear. oh yeah coal.they use the wind and solar for peak periods when you need it. wind and solar can be switched on or off quickly. imagine paying $2.40 a kilowatt for solar power!

sinikka 10/9/2012 8:08:11 AM ReportThe problem we are having with this renewable energy crap is nobody is looking after the fellow who lives next door . If you think that windmills or solar panels do not affect the value of your home , you only have to read the comments on here to see that this cannot be true. I for one would not purchase a home next door or across the street from windmills or solar panles. Are those affected compensated? Perhaps they should put windmills directly on the muscoka's like they have at prince lake . Many of these companies that produce this so called renewable energy are raping the public with government grants being handed out like hotcakes . When you drive down baseline or black dirt road you can't help but notice how these solar panels have robbed us of our farmland . It is an eye sore , pure and simple.
