Your short story can win you cash

Want some extra money for the holidays? 

Tell us about your money mistakes and you could put some cash in your pocket.

As part of Credit Education Week Canada, Credit Counselling Services of Sault Ste. Marie and Credit Canada are calling on all adults and Grade 12 graduating students to share your story. 

There are three cash prizes of $1,000, $3,000, and $4,000 to be won for the adult contest.

The Grade 12 contest can see you possibly walking away with a prize of $1,000, $2,500, $3,000, or a grand prize of $5,000.

In the past two years, the Sault has seen two prize winners of this essay contest.

If you are an adult all you need to do is write a short, 300 words or fewer, story about the worst money mistake you have ever made and how you managed to overcome it.

The deadline for submission is October 24, 2012.

If you are a student in Grade 12, this year’s contest asks you to in a 1,000 words or less describe the dumbest thing you have ever done with your money and what you learned from it. 

It’s that simple. 

The deadline for submission is October 21, 2012.
