Wow! Huge pumpkin helps celebrate big year (photo)

Monday, October 01, 2012   by: SooToday.com Staff

This photo from Lori Ballstadt, the City's corporate affairs officer, shows a 450-pound pumpkin now on display at the Civic Centre.

The pumpkin was grown by City Parks employee Jeff Marshall and is painted with the Celebrate 100! logo in recognition of our City’s 100th anniversary year, Lori reports.

Included in the photo (from left to right) are City Parks Division employees Bard St. Germain, labour/operator; Don Dzama, maintenance foreman; and Jeff Marshall, group leader.

The pumpkin will be on display in the Civic Centre until Halloween.
