angens 9/26/2012 1:42:39 PM ReportI am not sure who books the entertainment at Kewadin, but Brenda Lee, Vicki Lawrence, Oliva Newton-John, etc. Can they get anyone older? Or more irrelevant (in the music industry)? Must be some old lady booking the entertaiment, lol.
Sam C 9/26/2012 2:05:50 PM ReportGee, angens... what do you want? It can't always be the newest and most popular. It's called appealing to a wider audience.
Besides, Dreammakers has had some big names playing there, both current to "classic" rockers and pop artists.
FYI, "Theory of a Dead Man" is playing the day after Olivia Newton-John.
JerryLundegard 9/26/2012 2:07:58 PM ReportThey might me catering to people who play slots. I think that's how it works at a casino!
Spellchecker 9/26/2012 2:13:25 PM ReportAnjens will have to accept the fact that the baby boomers are now the largest demographic and old-timers like me, even a year older than the oldest boomers, would much rather see Brenda Lee than some of the garbage that they now call entertainers. Brenda Lee is the same age as I, at 67 years young, and sang some of the best music ever.
Spellchecker 9/26/2012 2:14:52 PM ReportMy apologies, angens, for the misspelling of your name.
BlackHelix 9/26/2012 2:26:17 PM ReportSpellChecker
Thank you sir (or ma'am I guess?) for summarizing something that I never could articulate properly. Going forward, every time I hear a statement like "Sault Ste. Marie can't be THAT bad right?" from friends or colleagues living elsewhere, I will immediately direct them to your post...
Norm 9/26/2012 3:16:15 PM ReportSpellC is a man among men. I remember seeing Loretta at Kewadin, Ray Price, Glen Campbell, Ronnie Milsap, and a few other older acts. Pretty good night out, at reasonable rates.
PipeBomb 9/26/2012 4:35:53 PM ReportGarbage music, please get something better, Kewadin, you have gone DOWNHILL
Snobank 9/26/2012 5:03:01 PM ReportWhat's a generation gap? Read the above letters again and see two generations insult each other's music. And thus it always shall be.
gamehunter 9/26/2012 6:38:55 PM ReportBrenda Lee was born in December of 1944. There is NO WAY she is 54 yrs old. She is more accurately 67 yrs old, turning 68 in December.
Spellchecker 9/26/2012 7:01:42 PM ReportAs i said above, same age as me. We were both the ripe old age of 15 when she sang I'm Sorry back in 1960.
JerryLundegard 9/26/2012 7:31:14 PM Report@spelly
Sounds like you're as open minded about music, as you are about other peoples religions.....
And how were my you're's, and you are's in that statement?
Spellchecker 9/26/2012 7:52:12 PM ReportPretty good Jerry. Keep up the good work. As far as religion goes, each to their own but if the religion's objective is to rule the world people should be aware of it.
Spellchecker 9/26/2012 7:55:28 PM ReportHowever, people's should have had an apostrophe as it is possessive.
speed7 9/29/2012 11:36:30 PM ReportToo many country acts.. maybe some gold old fashioned rock n roll is in order.
