Sunday, September 23, 2012   by: SooToday.com Staff

SooToday.com received the following announcement today from the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre regarding Tyler Quarrell, the young man who tragically lost his life in a recent industrial accident.

****************************
QUARRELL, Tyler Keith - March 13, 1987 - September 20, 2012

Tragically and suddenly passed away at the age of 25.

Tyler was deeply in love with and dearly loved by his new bride Tabitha Quarrell (nee Norling). Father of Jacob (Gagan) and anxiously awaiting the arrival of his newborn.

Tyler is survived by his parents Bob and Lorraine Quarrell, sisters Chantal Liberty (Lee Mason) and Andrea of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and brother Rob of Winnipeg.

Tyler is the nephew of Rod of BC, Randy of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Heather Gagnon of Kapuskasking, Donna Coe (Raymond) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Wayne Gamelin (Ada) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Debbie Wilkins (Larry) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Clifford “Kip” Gamelin (Lise) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, late Richard  and late Alvin Gamelin.

Grandson of Ione Quarrell (late Bob) and the late Clifford and late Joyce Gamelin.

Tyler is also survived by his God-Parents Ron and Karen Dumoulin and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from both sides of the border.

Tyler  will be deeply missed by his Father-in-Law Richard Norling (Dominica Farkas), brother-in-law Joshua, and Tabitha's entire family who welcomed him with open arms.

Tyler was born in Elliot Lake but grew up and attended school in Sault Michigan before moving back to Sault, ON to work.

He participated in many sports but mostly loved his football where he played for the Blue Devils of Sault Area High School in Michigan.

He will always be remembered for his uncanny sense of humour, joy for life, and undying love for his family.

Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.

A private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been set up for Tyler's children.

Memorial donations to the Quarrell Children Trust Fund would be appreciated by the family.

We would like to express our deepest heartfelt gratitude to the paramedics, and all of the doctors and nurses of both the Emergency and  ICU departments of Sault Area Hospital.

Words cannot express your valiant efforts to care for Tyler.

HORRIBLE! Gone way too soon and just a very sad turn of events. I heard (and don't quote me, you know how rumors fly in this city) that around 800 pounds of granite fell on this guy. Unreal...Tyler, RIP...you were taken way too soon. To his wife, son and unborn child - I pray for you all.
