sweetc 9/22/2012 11:49:15 AM ReportInstaed of arresting the prostitutes and marihuana growers, why aren't the police concentrating on the b & e s that are occuring on a regular basis in our city?
mallet 9/22/2012 12:14:59 PM ReportSweetc..
Much easier to catch someone who is out in the open for all to see than someone who is only there for a few minutes and not in view.. also why bother when you know the person will be out on bail within a few hours, and when going to court will result in a probation order and to be good! The justice system in this country is a joke and until someone has the cojones to punish the offender and not the victim nothing will change..
anapeg 9/22/2012 1:08:13 PM Report The police could easily go right to the individuals responsible but there is no point as the judiciary will feel sorry for the pukes and set them free. The problem with our court system is evident to all but a blind man.
Can't put them in jail, the jails are over crowded. Why is that the concern of the honest people? Jail the wastes of flesh and air, lock them away until they forget what daylight looks and feels like.
We are footing the bill whether they are in jail or on welfare so do it the way the taxpayers want. JAIL TIME! Long, hard, jail time!
engineguy 9/22/2012 5:02:39 PM ReportDoes anyone get it our cops are crocked and they are just putting in there hours to get paid and do f--k all we all know this..... oh yea the pick up people who have outstanding warrants does that count ?
zdc 9/22/2012 11:43:00 PM ReportWow, does anybody understand what a police officers job is?
Why are they arresting dope growers?
Why are they arresting hookers?
Why are they arresting thieves?
Why are they checking for seat belts?
Why are they stopping drunk drivers?
This is the kind of crap you can read on here all the time.
What do you expect them to do, it's their job!
I have to laugh about the ones who complain about police wasting tax dollars. Sure as s**t these people are clicking there keyboard in their apartment, where no city taxes have ever been paid by such people .
Snowdon 9/23/2012 6:19:29 AM ReportThe justice system is broke? Ha. I love these people who complain about it as though there is some magical perfect justice system and that it is simply a matter of harsher punishment.
Clearly these people have never done a second of research on the subject. If they did they would find overwhelming evidence that jail sentences for minor crimes INCREASE recidivism - aka lead to more continued criminality, and thus a higher cost to the taxpayer.
Non-prison sentences have proven time after time to be a better use of money and to provide better results in terms of rehabilitating criminals.
But keep babbling uneducated nonsense if you want.
tcowen 9/23/2012 9:44:26 AM Reporthmm.. dope growers, hookers, thieves & drunk drivers. Good thing the police services board 'didn't' put a gag-order on the 11-million dollar research grant collating the link between crime an addictions.. the last thing we'd need around here is a long term treatment center.
