Do they not have better things to do.
The big bad pot. That sucks I enjoy smoking a joint sometimes."squares".
Find somthing better to spend my tax dollars on like health care.
Tom_Bom 9/22/2012 4:57:52 AM Report

Prohibition is the drug problem. If marijuana was legalized we'd have a huge bucket of tax money to fund health care and all sorts of things with.

And I mean come on folks, it's not like people are dropping like flys from pot.

Ridiculous, what about the meth, crack, and coke that are coming in like the truckload?
kamen 9/22/2012 9:58:03 AM Report

If you all read the whole thing they also found two and one half Oxyneo 40 mg pills, two 30 mg codeine pills, ten and one half Oxycodone pills (Percocet), not just weed
Zarm27 9/22/2012 10:52:58 AM Report

The amount of pills she had would lead one to assume it was personal use, so without the script she gets the possession charges which will most likely get dropped if she's "addicted".

If it's not legal....BUSTED!!!
soogurl24 9/22/2012 12:40:55 PM Report

Not enough to say she is selling them.....they could be for personal use ( the pills)
Stugatzu 9/22/2012 2:19:44 PM Report

Since oxycodone has been banned in Ontario, there's no way this was a valid prescription this person had. It's been removed from the market and replaced with OxyNeo. It doesn't take a wise person to determine that she's been pushing Oxys on the streets. If said person had a "valid" Rx, they wouldn't have had any oxycodone.
Zarm27 9/22/2012 3:32:30 PM Report

If read properly, it's 2 oxyneos as you pointed out how they no longer produce oxycontin, 10 percocet which they do still produce and prescribe, the codeine pills they describe are likely T3's.
Steven_P 9/23/2012 2:41:35 AM Report

The police also raided my house 2 weeks ago and found 3 large marijuana plants and 16 "other" marijuana plants.

My co-accused has a recommendation from his doctor to use cannabis for his Chron's disease and my other friend who actually owns the 3 large marijuana plants has a medical card from Health Canada which permits him to grow up to 6 plants to alleviate the symptoms of his MS.

The "other marijuana" the police found in my greenhouse was actually a bunch of weeds called "Common Cinquefoil", a member of the rose family. It kind of looks like pot I guess, but the little yellow flowers give it away. The cops know this stuff isn’t marijuana but I guess they needed to raise the plant count to charge us with trafficking.

All this hoopla over 3 actual marijuana plants and a handful of “roses” growing in my greenhouse is going to cost the taxpayer a hella lot of money. Due to Harper’s new mandatory minimum sentences, we will have no choice but to take our cases to trial. If we are convicted, the taxpayer is also on the hook for our incarceration and our appeals. If we win our case, lawsuits may be pending.

I think the media is walking a very fine line when they emphatically state misinformation as factual evidence before the actual facts are proven in court.

As many people agree, the police and the media are not prone to let something as silly as the facts get in the way of a good public hanging.

It’s obvious that the war on drugs is now just a war on people. It is my firm belief that if more people were able to grow their own marijuana there would be less demand for drugs purchased on the street…that’s where the gangs, guns and violence are; not in my greenhouse!

To this end, I am currently volunteering to assist people who need to fill out the forms to legally obtain their medical marijuana cards from Heath Canada so they can legally grow their own too. Free forms, consultation and seeds. Contact me stevenplastino [at] gmail.com for more information.
