The Salty Mollies, Sault Ste. Marie’s own burlesque performance art troupe, is pleased to announce they are hosting auditions for a new member.
The auditions will take place on September 30, 2012 at Loplops Gallery and Lounge (651 Queen Street East).
The troupe has performed all over town, including the Sault’s First Annual Burlesque Revue with James Case and the Aces in December, and for the 2011 Buskerfest Cabaret.
The Mollies have a passion for community service, and have also participated in fundraisers for the Children of Kenya, and for the Algoma U Student Food Bank.

Prospective Mollies will be evaluated on poise, smoothness of performance, stage presence, charisma and energy, originality and creativity, costume, overall glamour, theatricality, entrance to and exit from stage.
The Salty Mollies celebrate diversity and welcome candidates of any gender, and all international backgrounds.
Knowledge of burlesque, and familiarity with burlesque history is essential.
