Monday, September 17, 2012   by: SooToday.com Staff

Sault Ste. Marie City Police advise that an individual was severely hurt in an assault at 142 Albert St. on September 16.

The victim was transported to hospital, treated and released.

The investigation is continuing.

The incident took place in the downstairs apartment at 142 Albert Street, below the apartment where Todd Petrie was murdered in late February, 2011.

His murder remains unsolved.

Constable Sonny Spina of Sault Ste. Marie Police Services told SooToday.com that further details could be released sometime this afternoon.
