Cody McMillan and friends celebrate 3 releases (11 photos)

Saturday, September 15, 2012   by: Donna Hopper

To a packed room last night at Loplops, local singer/songwriter Cody McMillan launched two full-length albums and one EP with his band The Soft Shoe Shufflers.

With a bit of help from a lot of friends, including Joe Kargi, Rusty McCarthy, Lindsay Pugh, Britta Wolfert, and Dave Pihlaja, McMillan had no trouble captivating the crowd and coaxing them to the dance floor with folk, roots, blues and country selections from his three releases Blackwater, Mealtime in Atlanta, and Where's the Reality.

If you happened to have missed this talented songwriter last evening, the young lad and another band of friends are hosting a followup CD celebration tonight at the Water Tower Pub, 360 Great Northern Rd., until 12:30 a.m.

For more information about Cody McMillian and his music, feel free to visit him at ReverbNation or Facebook.
