Interesting to note that no name has been released in the person charged with the slashing of the tires and drunk driving. Why would that be?
sweetcountry 9/15/2012 10:58:33 AM Report

It's done to protect the victim which in this case is the ex- girlfriend.

I bet she will be there to bail him out.

Big Deal...!..alot of people are victims of crime...family, friends...let alone innocent people who are charged and have there name dragged through the mud, like the poor guy who was accused of child porn a year or so ago. The charges were dropped because there was no evidence to convict, meanwhile his life was turned upside down and will never be the same..!!!...It's about time the Police Services, get there act together and either release ALL names...(domestic or not) or do not release any...Tired of the double standard..My impaired got my name in the paper and my family suffered from my stupidty, so people that beat up there spouses should face the same music.....

I love how they put the wheel thing there when they say nothing about domestic violence... who knows what really happened

Dear HockeyGuy

Give your head a HARD shake, against a brick wall ??!
Your DUI was YOUR choice; yours alone.
You deserved it. Victims DON'T.

Domestic violence involves 'spouses', both sets of extended families & the innocent children (at home/school), society desperately tries to PROTECT by withholding their names ! It's the LAW.
Their wounds may be many years old & 'deep'. Their families HAVE suffered.

You really think your crime is equal to ANY type of ABUSE?? Try, 'LIVING it'!

You have a chance to 'change'. DO IT & stop 'whining' about fairness. AA is a great teacher of 'tolerance/empathy', towards others. Good luck, sir.
Be 'kind' vs. 'bitter'.

sweetcountry 9/17/2012 9:02:41 AM Report

Couldn't have said it better Ravin. My kids and I are survivors of abuse and it has been a couple of years since it happened, but it still is affecting our lives.
