There was a young man on a 1st Nation that was charged with 3 counts of sexual assault and it was never reported here? I'd like to know why? Is it because it's the OPP?
MikeQ 9/13/2012 2:15:38 PM Report

@dreamer,
It could be a few different reasons... Sootoday might not have gotten the story yet, the Aboriginal police dept might not be in the habit of sending their charges to media, the boy could be a minor... list goes on and on, I'm sure there are a lot of crimes that don't make it to the news. Whatever filter they go through to determine which ones come online is still a mystery to me ;)

Well, I know for sure Mike, he is not a minor. He's 33 yrs old. Lives on the Reserve and assaulted 3 women known to him? Maybe that's the key?

too bad he doesn't play for the greyhounds...

I have to agree there is many crimes, many crimes, many crimes not reported to the media

Why, cause if they were no one would live in this town and no tourists would come to this town. The latter has always been a problem due to this town always being in the 1960's mind set which is if it is not broken why fix it or why make it look more attractive or why not build some huge imax theatre and museum like Sudbury Science North has and a Huge Planetarium or a Huge Telescope to see the stars and allow tourists to do so as well.

Ah the list goes on an on, but its that old mindset that this towns handlers have that will keep this town (yeah town, not city) from ever becoming something substatial in the north or the mid north of Ontario, really who wants to be here in this Town?

@UniqueName

If you hate this "town" so much, leave. Nobody cares if you are here and nobody cares what you have to say.

Tell em Watchdog!! I agree 1000%

the weed beds,

Haha, yeah for sure!! If he played for the greyhounds, everybody here would be on his side calling him the 'victim', and insulting the woman as if she was just too easy that night and then changed her mind the next day. *shakes head*
