Guns and ammunition stolen from Elliot Lake residence

Guns stolen from residence
ELLIOT LAKE - The OPP is currently investigating a break enter and theft at a residence on Roman Avenue in Elliot Lake.
Sometime between August 27, 2012 and September 3, 2012 unknown person(s) entered the residence while the homeowners were away.
Through investigation police learned that entry was gained through a window and the house was searched.
Stolen from the residence were three (3) guns and several boxes of mixed ammunition - 306, 22’s and 12’s.
The missing guns are:
- One bolt action rifle - 22 calibre
- One pump action 12GA shotgun
- One semi-automatic Remington rifle 30-06
Also taken was alcohol, jewellery, a fire-proof safe with personal documents and cash.
The following is a list of some of the stolen items:
- 21-speed white mountain bicycle
- Wrist watches
- Gold dinner cluster ring
- Gold pearl ring
- Gold pocket watch
- Several gold necklaces
- Several gold earrings
Anyone with information regarding the above break enter and theft is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
Any information that leads to the arrests or identity of persons responsible can lead to a cash reward.
