allieishere 9/12/2012 9:05:51 AM ReportSo that would be HOW much per foot? ;)
Seriously though, it amazes me the govt. hasn't legalized this yet, imagine the taxes, sounds very lucrative and win win all around....nobody goes to jail, everybody is happy... :)
JerryLundegard 9/12/2012 9:46:49 AM Report24,000 dollars worth? Those must of been some gigantic plants...The cops like to weigh the pail, and the soil too, so it looks like they did a big bust!
Brianne 9/12/2012 10:43:58 AM ReportUnless that plant is in flower ( bud), it's just a hemp plant
roxxyroller 9/12/2012 11:08:11 AM ReportWhat in the sam hell is marihuana? Last time I checked it was marijuana.
dob131 9/12/2012 11:10:04 AM ReportStart Voting For the Green Party, or those more liberal to the idea to legalize POT. Hey They Legalized Gambling, and thats way more destructive on our society, why not Pot? What is wrong with the government? You people, for not voting for the right party.
OICU812 9/12/2012 11:13:55 AM ReportAnd the cops take down another patients garden. The Mernaugh case should have prevented this tragedy from happening. Maybe we can get the Mernaugh decision rendered here now. Marijuana is Medicine for alot of people, I grow 147 plants in my greenhouse, come bust me. Oh wait they can't cause I got a license, I am one of the very fortunate few. The Mernaugh case applies to all whom have not been so fortunate as myself. Time to bring it forth in SSM and hopefully the lawyers will grow some balls in this city. I told many a lawyer how to beat these bogus charges but none want to present it in court. It works everywhere else in the country and folks are having there charges stayed or dismised.
And YES Steve is a medical user, his doctor does not agree with the treatment he has chosen, but it is HIS choice of treatment and that is what is his right.
Anyhow, time to go tend to my 10 ft plants now
roxxyroller 9/12/2012 11:20:10 AM ReportCanada is so frigging behind the times it's not even funny! I personally don't smoke it, but I think that the effects of pot are way more beneficial than that of alcohol! Pot relaxes a person, where as alcohol causes fights, death, etc ... why is alcohol legal? Unreal!!
allieishere 9/12/2012 11:35:30 AM Reportroxxyroller, that's it exactly. at one time booze was illegal too, then the govt finally said, sure, and let's tax the heck outta it.
ttb 9/14/2012 9:22:58 AM ReportCongrats to the Police. You guys are making me feel safer already! lol!
Leave the poor bastard alone he isn't hurting a soul
Steven_P 9/23/2012 1:25:59 AM ReportIt is true; we did have 3 large cannabis plants growing in my greenhouse. There was also 30 tomato and pepper plants in the greenhouse that the police also destroyed.
The "16 other marijuana" plants the police claim to have found are actually "Common Cinquefoil"...a common weed from the rose family. The police didn't find enough actual marijuana plants to charge us with trafficking, so they grabbed some nearby weeds to fulfill their quota.
Lance has a recommendation from his doctor to use Cannabis to treat his Chrone's disease. My friend who actually owns the 3 large plants has a card from Health Canada to grow up to 6 plants to use as treatment for his Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
There was only 3 mature plants growing in the greenhouse but the police thought it prudent to "plant evidence" to get their convictions and all this evidence will need to be proven in court.
I think the media is walking a very fine line when they emphatically state misinformation as factual evidence before the actual facts are proven in court.
As many people agree, the police are not prone to let something as silly as the facts get in the way of a good public hanging.
Steven Plastino
