Loyal reader Corey Tucker has sent us these bird photos.
"While walking around at Bell's Point Campground with my camera, I ran into a Bald Eagle adult perched in a white pine," he reports.
Corey also got a rare shot of a juvenile Peregrine Falcon chasing around Northern Flickers.
The bird was learning to defend for himself, he noted.

Sam C 9/11/2012 3:30:27 PM ReportGreat shots! I've noticed a lot more raptors in the area this summer than I ever remember seeing before, including Kestrels, Ospreys, various hawks and Bald Eagles.

pumpkinmaster 9/11/2012 6:13:44 PM ReportI am the one who took the the pics and have to make a correction on one of the raptors, the little one which I said was a Peregrine is actually not, it is actually a MERLIN, sorry for the mistake.
