Downtown Sault Ste. Marie hosts 10th annual Oktoberfest
SAULT STE. MARIE, MI - On September 22, downtown Sault Ste. Marie’s 10th annual Oktoberfest will take place, starting at noon and continuing well into the night.
Highlights include live polka music by Marquette-based band “Wil Kilpela & Friends,” beer barrel relay races, a tug-o-war competition and, of course, beer, bratwursts and other specialty foods and beverages.
Restaurants and pubs - including Moloney’s Alley, Soo Brewing Company, The Palace Restaurant & Saloon, the Satisfied Frog, Subway, Frank’s Place and Zorba’s - will be selling specialty food and beverages throughout the day, and providing outdoor seating.
Oktoberfest will also include a farm and craft market, bouncy inflatables for the kids, polka dance classes at the polka stage and live music late into the night at the Corner Pub, the Satisfied Frog, Soo Brewing and Moloney’s Alley.
September 22 is also the date of the Chamber Chase marathon, taking place in the morning prior to the start of Oktoberfest.
Please plan to visit downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan for both wonderful events!
