Single motor vehicle collision reported

Driver arrested and charged for impaired driving

FENWICK TWP,  ON – On Saturday September 8, 2012, at approximately 2:58 a.m., OPP and Goulais River First Response were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 North at the Goulais River Bridge.

A three-tonne moving van collided with the back end of a Caterpillar grader.

The male driver, who received minor injuries, exhibited obvious signs of impairment.

Twenty-seven-year-old Andrew David Buck Glen Morris Road West, Brant, Ontario was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle; exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol content contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. 
                                                                                                                                 
The accused was released on a promise to appear for provincial court on October 1, 2012.  

The van was demolished.
