You're encouraged to talk about wind

Local advocacy group, Save Ontario's Algoma Region (SOAR), urges area residents to attend upcoming meetings regarding the proposed Bow Lake Wind Farm and Goulais Wind Farm.

These meetings will provide the public with information and offer the opportunity to express concerns to the wind developers as well as the Ontario Government.

One meeting is planned to discuss the Bow Lake Wind Farm on September 6, while two final opportunities to offer feedback regarding the Goulais Wind Farm will take place on September 25.

Yes, wind towers are ugly, they take away from the beautiful scenery that we have been blessed with in Northern Ontario. But our entire society is dependant on electricity. I don't know where people expect wind towers to be built if they're not here because we are located on lake superior and have many mountain ranges, like it or not, we are the perfect location for wind farms. Or instead of building these hideous wind towers we could generate power through coal power plants, I mean, it would be much better if we poison ourselves with pollution instead of building something clean, solely because they're ugly. Think of the whole picture!

the life span of a tower is 20 years,, then they become a tall stack of garbage that lasts forever....
