History Fest in Sault Michigan takes place along Water Street and celebrates the area's maritime history. History Fest in Sault Michigan takes place along Water Street and celebrates the area's maritime history. Visit Susan Johnston and others who are central to the Sault's history (and tour their homes), taste foods of the past, enjoy fry bread and soup, watch demonstrations of Native artisans, participate in spinning, weaving and quilting and chat with local history groups. The children's activity tent will be busy all day doing laundry, playing historic games, and much more.
