Search continues north of Elliot Lake
Human foot found
ELLIOT LAKE, ON - On July 16, 2012, the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit located and recovered a body in Semiwite Lake at the Mississagi Provincial Park 22 kilometres north of Elliot Lake.
The condition of the body indicates that it has been under water for a lengthy period of time.
The investigation is continuing with the Coroner's Office.
Forensic identification to be conducted of the remains found.
Police continue their investigation in an effort of identifying the deceased.
