How we celebrated Canada Day 145 (video, photos)

Last night, hundreds of people lined the edge of St. Marys River from west of the Station Mall to the Civic Centre and beyond.
The weather was warm and skies were clear with barely a breeze to stir the trees.
A nearly-full moon seemed intent on photobombing all the fireworks pictures as Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario celebrated Canada's 145th birthday.
It was the bright, fiery cherry on an ice-cream sundae sort of day.
Earlier in the day at the Bondar Pavilion Canada Day celebrations included fun and games for youngsters like 18-month old Jayla Plath (shown in this unbearably cute picture sent by her mom, Renee).
There were Soolebrities, cupcakes, balloon animals and treats.
There was also plenty of Canada Day swag, entertainment, face painting and so much more.
At the Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site of Canada the celebrations remembered times gone by with a demonstration of what life at the canal would have been like 100 years ago.
SooToday.com's Adam Gualtieri captured all the Bondar Pavilion festivities and the fireworks in the video below.
