Eric spends the night at the crowbar hotel

Arrests/Charged Persons:

On the 30 June 2012 police attended at a local bar where they located Eric Elie (age 23).

Mr. Elie was on court ordered conditions not to purchase, possess or consume alcohol.

He also had a curfew to be in his residence between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

He subsequently spent the night with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service and will be appearing in WASH court in the morning to face two counts of breach of a recognizance.

On the 30 June 2012 a male got into an argument with his girlfriend and dragged her across the floor by the hair.

The girl’s mother intervened and was punched trying to stop the altercation by the accused.

Police showed up and the accused jumped out a second floor window in an effort to escape.

After a short foot pursuit the accused was caught by police when he decided to fight with the officers.

When he was subdued, marihuana was found on his person.

The accused was also on a probation order at the time.

He was subsequently charged with assault x 2, resist arrest, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation x 4.

He will be spending the weekend housed at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and appearing in bail court on Tuesday morning.

Due to the domestic related nature of this incident his name will not be released by police.

Arrest: the accused Keyvan RADBIN age 40 of no fixed address was arrested for shop lifting by security at the Station Mall. It is alleged that the accused stole clothing.

The accused is to appear in court on July 30, 2012 at 9:00am.

Dylan Reid (age 21) was located by city police in an intoxicated state near the Boardwalk.

A check revealed Mr. Reid was wanted by the City police for failing to appear in court on a previous mischief charge.

He was transported to the City Police Station where a WASH court judge will decide whether he spends the rest of the weekend at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:

Theft of licence plates and ownership from a vehicle in the 200 block of Trunk Road.

Bear sightings in the 1500 block of Trunk Road - also in the 700 block of Cooper Street
