Motorcyclists fundraise for sight

 SAULT STE. MARIE (June 25, 2012) – Hundreds of Northern Ontarian motorcyclists will ring in their Canada Day celebrations with the country’s most anticipated motorcycling fundraiser event – Ride for Sight. 

For the very first time, the Northern Ontario Ride for Sight will be hosted in beautiful Sault Ste. Marie, from June 29 to July 1.

Riders will gather at the Roberta Bondar Park and Pavilion for a weekend of motorcycles, live entertainment and Canada Day festivities, all while raising money in support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness – the largest charity funder of vision research in Canada.
 
The Ride for Sight traditional kick-off parade will depart from Roberta Bondar Pavilion, June 30, at 11 a.m. for a scenic ride along Sault Ste. Marie’s surrounding rural roads.

The spectacle is not to be missed.

Ride for Sight participants will enjoy a weekend full of thrills including: motorcycle bike games, fireworks, a show n’ shine, a vendor marketplace and live music, featuring Asylum Country, Lorrie Bolduc and That’s Chester.
 
Participants will celebrate Canada Day and ring in the summer with an exciting weekend of entertainment and fundraising for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

These funds support Canada’s vision scientists as they work to restore the gift of sight to people living with retinal diseases.

Registrants must fundraise a minimum of $75 to gain access to the best weekend party of the summer.
