Kyle drags a pole down Queen St, charged with impaired

CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE

In the early morning hours of June 5, an east bound vehicle travelling on Queen St. W. exited onto Queen St. westbound one way, collided with a traffic pole and continued east dragging the pole down the street.

The driver exited the vehicle, left the scene and attempted to elude officers but returned of his own accord.

Witnesses identified the driver and the accused was arrested.

Kyle McColman, 25, of 250 Dyment St. was charged with impaired driving and drive with over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

The vehicle and light standard suffered heavy damage.

The accused will attend court for his first appearance on July 9.
