Spectacular late-spring sky seen from boardwalk (7 photos)

Loyal reader Len Fera sent us these waterfront photos, taken last night. The views look skyward from the boardwalk by the Bondar Tent Pavilion. "As soon as the sun disappeared below the horizon, the rainbow dissipated," Len says.

Loyal reader Len Fera sent us these waterfront photos, taken last night.

The views look skyward from the boardwalk by the Bondar Tent Pavilion.

"As soon as the sun disappeared below the horizon, the rainbow dissipated," Len says. "It was visible for quite a while and formed a large semi-circle arc.  In the last photo with the boat, a second rainbow is slightly noticeable to the right of the main rainbow. Just as the rainbow disappeared the full moon partially hidden by clouds became visible in the lower sky."
