All of the Sault nominees for this year's Northern Ontario Music Awards have won the awards they were nominated for. The award winners were announced at a ceremony in Sudbury at Laurentian University tonight.

All of the Sault nominees for this year's Northern Ontario Music Awards have won the awards they were nominated for.

The award winners were announced at a ceremony in Sudbury at Laurentian University tonight.

Originally from the Sault, writer, filmmaker, and Confederation College film production professor Lee Chambers won Screenwriter of the Year for his Make It Short film project Hugh Jackman Saves the World.

Kalle Mattson, now based in Ottawa, scooped the award for Album of the Year by a Duo or Group for its full-length release Anchors.



Kalle Wainio, frontman for the band earned a SOCAN Songwriter of the Year award for his song Singing Knives.

Three Saulites, Andrew Sowka, Vince Aquilina and Chis Cucullo

 are part of North Bay's Faraway Neighbours and tonight the band picked up the award for Engineer of the Year award for its debut release Carry On, Man.
