A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

A memorable song from a memorable fairytale…Cinderella!

And you can watch the magic unfold live when Dufflebag Theatre comes to Sault Ste. Marie to perform Cinderella on stage at the Grand Theatre on Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m.!

The performance of Cinderella marks the 100th anniversary of not only our city, but of the fairytale Cinderella too!

One hundred years have flown by and it’s time to enjoy the wonder of the fairytale for our city’s anniversary.

The Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie and District has brought Dufflebag Theatre back to Sault Ste. Marie to perform as a fundraiser for the council.

Dufflebag Theatre has previously been in Sault Ste. Marie as part of the Over the Rainbow Children’s Entertainment Series.

This fundraiser will assist the Arts Council in bringing in acts for the 2012-2013 series.

Since 1992, the “Nearly World Famous” DuffleBag Theatre has become one of the most celebrated companies at festivals and schools across the country.

The DuffleBag actors begin the retelling of original adaptations of select fairy tales and Shakespearean classics full of wit and humour.

Just when the audience becomes enthralled by the story - a twist is created!

Before your very eyes, audience members are asked to come up on stage and join in the action.

This unpredictable performance is a hilarious experience for all ages and a truly unique interactive theatrical experience where the dream of living a fairy tale actually does come true!

Tickets are $15 per adult and $12 per child.

They are available for purchase at the Arts Council Office, Kevanna Studios, Hilltribe Designs and Once Upon a Child.

They are also available for purchase at the door the day of the performance.
