At the April 10 board meeting, trustees received and have been reviewing all letters and written correspondence from school councils, municipal councils, parents and community members from the Central Algoma area.

At the April 10 meeting they also received the proposed organization for school in Central Algoma for September 2012.

At the April 24 meeting, senior administration provided trustees with additional information to assist in their review including:

  • Enrolment projections: Central Algoma
  • Transportation report re: 7-12 Central Algoma consultation
  • Presentation materials from the public meeting held on February 27, 2012

The trustees continue to review, discuss and seek clarification as they prepare to vote on final recommendations that will be presented by senior administration.

The Board will receive a report from senior administration on May 8 and will have four weeks to review the report and consider the recommendations.

Parents and community members may provide additional input to the Board and administration from the time the report and recommendations are made public until May 30, 2012.

The final recommendations will be made to Trustees to be voted on at the regular board meeting of June 12, 2012.
