Township of Plummer Additional has imposed a fire ban effective immediately until further notice.

Please listen to your local radio stations for further updates or for more information, call the municipal office at 705-785-3479.

A fire ban means that no open burning is permitted in any circumstances.

"A person failing to burn safely can be held responsible for the cost of putting out the fire (should it escape) and for any property damage," says the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

Please report any open burning to Ken Morin (Community Fire Safety Officer) 705-251-6079.
